The American Heart Association is a national, voluntary health organization dedicated to the mission of Building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. In addition to this mission, the AHA has adopted a new Health Impact Goal: By 2020, to improve the cardiovascular health of all Americans by 20% while reducing deaths from cardiovascular diseases and stroke by 20%. The 2020 Impact Goal is the vision for the future – a future that does not include heart disease and stroke.
Proceeds from the Paul “Bear” Bryant Awards benefit the mission of the American Heart Association. In the first 24 years, the Bryant Awards have raised more than $4,000,000 towards that mission.
